Folks, I would like to begin by saying that The Nerd Convocation will be evolving into a whole new monster (I’ll still post my narcissistic thoughts and those great trailers you all love). I’ve been operating this site for approximately six years and it’s time to take it to the next level. What will it morph into? No clue! But if Uwe Boll can refer to himself as a director, I think my pivot is well warranted. Just got to get that EIN number…

Anyhow, when I initially launched this site I did so with a flurry of articles expressing my thoughts about Hollywood and my love for some of its content. One of those articles titled, “My Favorite TV Show Is About A Guy That Eats People Out Of Spite…And I’m Okay With That”, centered on Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal, starring Mads Mikkelsen. A well written, provocative, and unique take on Hannibal Lecter. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after three seasons but the Mad(s)man continued to rage…rage into the light. After pulling a Christopher Plummer and replacing Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beast franchise, as well as his Oscar worthy turn in Another Round, it may appear Mads “I Am The Bitch” Mikkelsen is officially on scene.

I wasn’t really aware of who she was so I had to double-check with my kids. And they were screaming in my face: “You fucking moron! Don’t you know who she is?? If you don’t do this I’ll kill you.” So I’ve heard a few things. I think she varies a lot; she has a broad palette of different styles. But I have a soft spot for ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ because, after all, I am the bitch.

Don’t get me wrong–your internet boyfriend has been around for a while, but right now it feels like this is his moment. And if you’re interested in additional Mads Mikkelsen content, check out my analysis of Thomas Vinterberg’s The Hunt. Meanwhile, here’s the trailer for Mads’ latest film, Riders of Justice.
