Taika Waititi is in a class of his own. The filmmaker made one of the best Marvel movies to date with Thor: Ragnarok, and will continue his quirky style with his follow-up Jojo Rabbit. Starring Scarlett Johansson as a mother sheltering a young Jewish runaway during Hitler’s fascist regime, the film also features Waititi as Hitler (serving as Johansson’s son’s imaginary friend. I’m serious). Not only does Waititi star as Hitler in the film, but Rebel Wilson and Sam Rockwell pop up in this thing.

Jojo Rabbit is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2018.

In JOJO RABBIT, writer-director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE), brings his signature style of humor and pathos to a World War II satire. The story follows an awkward young German boy (Roman Griffin) raised by a single mother (Scarlett Johansson), and whose only ally is his imaginary friend Hitler (Waititi). His naïve patriotism is tested when he meets a young girl (Thomasin McKenzie) who upends his worldviews, forcing him to face his biggest fears.
