It was considered one of the biggest scandals of 2011. Joe Paterno, the legendary Penn State football coach, was crushed under the weight of a sexual abuse scandal, and fired as the head coach of the team synonymous with his name. Jerry Sandusky, a longtime member of the coaching squad, was tried and convicted of sexual abuse of some of the young boys in his care. As noted a while ago, Al Pacino is starring as Joe Paterno in a HBO biopic, and the cable channel has unveiled a first look photo of the actor in character. The film will be directed by Barry Levinson, who directed and executive produced You Don’t Know Jack (starring Pacino as Jack Kevorkian), as well as executive produced Phil Spector (also starring Pacino).
