Dan Stevens is the White Samuel L. Jackson. He’s popping up in everything. And much like Jackson, he is a joy to watch. The former Downton Abbey star has racked up a filmography that most young actors could only dream of. So, it’s not surprising that he’s popping up in a Gareth Evans film. Titled Apostle, the film centers on a man who seeks revenge against a group of cultist who have kidnapped his sister. Literally:

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

There is no release date as of yet for Apostle, but this is definitely one to look forward to.
