It appears that J.J. Abrams and Stephen King are collaborating for a mysterious new project. Over the weekend, Abrams released the news on his Bad Robot twitter account. The title is interesting, especially for anyone who is a fan of Stephen King. Per Deadline:
Following their collaboration on 11.22.63, J.J. Abrams is reteaming with Stephen King for another Hulu limited series based on King’s works. Titled Castle Rock, the series is being written by Manhattan creator Sam Shaw and Dusty Thomason.
Castle Rock, from Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros TV where the company is under a deal, is based on short stories by King. It is named after Castle Rock, the fictional area in King’s native Maine that serves as the setting for a number of his novels, novellas, and short stories.
No word yet on when Castle Rock will hit Hulu.
