Are we nearing peak superhero TV? Maybe. But that may not necessarily be a bad thing. With DC Comics dominating the CW, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Legion are leading the way for more Marvel induced TV. Per Variety:

Bryan Singer has signed on to direct Fox’s untitled action-adventure pilot in the X-Men universe from 20th TV and Marvel Television.

The pilot pickup was announced earlier this week. Matt Nix is penning the pilot and will serve as executive producer, along with Singer.

The project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

This sounds pretty good. Now if we could just get a Squirrel Girl movie or TV show, my life would be complete. Which should tell you how well my life is going.
