One of the most popular children’s television programs is making a return. Muppet Babies, the show featuring pint-sized versions of The Muppets, is headed back to the small screen. Per Variety:

Disney Junior is rebooting the 1980s children’s cartoon series “Muppet Babies.” Production on the new show, slated to premiere on the cable channel in 2018, has already begun.

The original “Muppet Babies” was a hand-drawn animated series featuring pint-size versions of Jim Henson’s classic characters. The series ran on Saturday mornings on CBS from 1984 until 1991.

“We are proud, and a little bit giddy, to begin production on our new version of the much-loved ‘Muppet Babies,’” said Nancy Kanter, executive vice president, original programming and general manager, Disney Junior Worldwide. “Parents will delight in seeing their favorite Muppets in the mixed animation style they remember from the original series, and kids will be introduced to this warm and zany world made just right for the Disney Junior audience.”

This is great news for everyone! I mean parents. Yes, definitely parents. Because it’s not like I, a single, child-less man, will watch the show. That would be ridiculous! **enters reminder into Google calendar**
