Back in December 2013 it was announced that J.K. Rowling, the author of the eponymous Harry Potter book series, would co-produce a new stage play centered on the early years of the boy wizard. Entitled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the reaction to the news was swift and euphoric. And now, Rowling has announced even more news concerning the play:

In an interview on the Pottermore, play director John Tiffany stated, ‘It shares a scale and ambition with all the Harry Potter stories so in order to do this justice we have decided to present the play in two parts.’. In addition to the movie adaptation of Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, 2016 is shaping up to bring about a resurgence of the Harry Potter universe.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will premiere at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End, summer 2016.
